English is the world's one real global language, with a rich history and great social and geographical variation.
This programme offers an intensive course in key aspects of the linguistics of English for those who have not hitherto had the opportunity for such in-depth study (so entry requirements include a good first degree in a broadly relevant discipline, for example, any Language, or English Literature, or History).
