Research Supervision
Students on an MSc by Research are assigned a supervisor (or sometimes two supervisors) who guide and monitor the progress of their research, in partnership with the Programme Director for the MSc by Research Degrees (who is responsible for the general management of the degree programmes).
In conjunction with the Programme Director, potential supervisors will consider an applicant's research proposal to assess whether they are able to take on the applicant as an MSc by Research student. Applicants are welcome to contact a potential supervisor in the department while composing a research proposal.
