Feedback on spoken English: teachers' options and learners' preferences

Tony Lynch

Recent EAP research has included investigations of learners' attitudes to different forms of feedback on their writing. However, little appears to have been done in the equivalent area for the spoken medium. In this paper, I summarise the various options for 'postvention' - post-performance noticing tasks - and discuss the views of IALS students as to which forms of postvention they prefer and why.
