I am still working on these pages, but the essential information about me is here.
17 February 2009: I have passed my viva with corrections. Which means I am now officially a PhD graduate, but I still have some work to do before the last five years (!) are bound up and shelved for good.
I gave a talk to the PWorkshop research group, and at a CSTR meeting, titled "Measuring endoscopic video data", about my work developing a rigorous means of extracting quantitative measures from endoscopic video recordings of the larynx. I am writing a paper on the topic as part of my fellowship.
Are you interested in measuring this sort of data? Would you like resources such as computer scripts for removing wideangle distortion, and tested measurement strategies? Another part of the fellowship involves producing and disseminating materials to make it easier for other researchers to test, refine, and extend my measurements. Let me know if you are interested in such materials.
