The Experiment Creator
The Experiment Creator helps you create an experiment file and save it to the server.  Start it from a web browser or appletviewer.  You will be prompted for a server address and port number.  The Experiment Creator must be connected to the server to work.

Screen Elements

Load:  Load an Experiment File

Save:  Save the current data to an Experiment File

After saving, restart the experiment creator (refresh the web page) and load the file you created to check the changes have been made.
If they have not saved, try making a change to a single aspect (description/mapping) and then saving.

Load Language: load a mapping file to the Experiment (see Mapping File)

Enter the number of trials in the “Number of rounds” box before loaing a Mapping file.

Load Description: load a description (csv)

Extract Output: Write the participant�s responses to a separate file (tab-separated)

New Generation: Replace the signals in the mapping with responses from the participants

Create an Experiment File

Enter a name for the experiment in the Description tab, specify a number of rounds (this can change later).

Load a language file from your computer by clicking ‘Load Language’ (see here).

Load a description file from your computer by clicking ‘Load Description’ (see here).

Click ‘Save’.  The Experiment is now saved on the server.

View an Experiment file

Click ‘Load’.  You will be asked which folder you want to look in.  The Experiments folder contains experiments that can be run.  The Outputs folder contains outputs from completed and ongoing experiments.

Choose a folder and experiment name.
